7 March 2008 — Rolf Smedvig, Bach Trumpet Artist with Empire Brass, held a concert and master class in Seoul, Korea at the invitation of Cosmos Corporation in February 2008. More than one hundred students and teachers showed up on a cold afternoon to hear the concert and learn trumpet technique from Mr. Smedvig.

Held in the newly opened Cosmos Hall which is the headquarters of the local Bach distributor Cosmos Corporation, five students were invited to take lessons from Rolf while the remaining participants were able to watch. A representative from Cosmos said that it was the best master class they had ever sponsored, and all the students and teachers learned a variety of trumpet skills and practice methods.
